GOODWIND · ARCHITECTURAL FILM

Architectural window filmChosen for your space

Manage sunlight, heat and privacy with window film selected for your glass and the way you use your space.

01 · YOUR SPACE

What kind of space is yours?

Choose your property type to explore window film considerations for the way you use your space.

Homes and condominiums

  • Heat from sunlight
  • Indoor glare
  • Privacy
Explore selection guidance

Share the direction of sunlight, when the room gets hot and your preferred brightness. Consider TSER together with VLT.

View samples from inside and outside. Privacy varies with lighting, and curtains may still be needed at night.

Offices and commercial buildings

  • Reflections on screens
  • Comfort while working
  • Light control across large glazed areas
Explore selection guidance

Identify desk and screen positions, glare times and indoor lighting to choose light transmission suited to the activity.

Have the team assess glass type, dimensions and condition before selecting film, especially on large glazed facades.

Shops and showrooms

  • Sunlight on display areas
  • Customer comfort
  • Storefront appearance
Explore selection guidance

Consider product visibility, film colour and reflections from both sides alongside heat management.

Describe the products and display area. Film cannot prevent all fading, which also depends on other factors.

02 · YOUR PRIORITIES

What would you like to improve first?

Start with the change you want to make, then consider film properties alongside your glass and site conditions.

  1. A hot room, but you still want daylight

Consider total solar energy rejection (TSER) alongside visible light transmission (VLT). Film darkness or IRR alone does not describe overall heat performance.

  2. Glare while working or viewing screens

Identify where and when light is distracting, then consider film darkness and light levels suitable for the activity, including indoor lighting.

  3. More privacy

Privacy depends on lighting inside and outside. Reflective film does not guarantee privacy at night. When the interior is brighter, curtains may still be needed.

  4. Unsure whether your glass can take film

Assess glass type, thickness, dimensions, condition and thermal risk before choosing film, particularly for tempered, laminated, double-glazed or coated glass.
